HAVANA, Cuba, Sept 18 (acn) Army General Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, met on Thursday afternoon with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Vice-president of the Republic of Panama, Isabel de Saint Malo de Alvarado, who is on an official visit to Cuba.
In an atmosphere of cordiality, the two authorities spoke about topics on the regional and international agendas. The Vice-president expressed her government's interest in strengthening bilateral relations and counting with Cuba's presence in the 7th Summit of the Americas, to be held next year in her country, an invitation that was positively received by the Cuban President.
Accompanying the distinguished visitor at the meeting was Gina Latoni, ambassador in Special Mission and advisor to the Vice-president. Cuba was also represented by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.
