Havana, June 22 (ACN) The Cuban Council of Ministers approved general urban planning programs for five Cuban cities including the capital Havana.
The accord was registered Tuesday on the Cuban Official Gazette in tune with the February 1978 Urban Planning Rules for the cities of Trinidad, Caibarien, Baracoa, Guantanamo and Havana.
The approval of the general programs was based on the proposals by the Urban Planning Institute and establishes urban planning rules for all different cases and relevant management and control actions.
Some of the issues on the agenda include migration flows among the cities involved, historic sites, national monuments, the expansion of residential areas in tune with the population growth and major economic activities.
