HAVANA, Cuba, Sept 6 (acn) The First Vice-president of the councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel, met on Friday afternoon with deputy Elias Castillo, President of the Latin American Parliament (PARLATINO), who is in Cuba to attend activities to mark the 50th anniversary of the creation of that institution and to take part in the meetings of its commissions of Health and Tourism and the Environment, under way in Havana.
During the meeting, the two leaders expressed their criteria on the work of the Latin American Parliament and Cuba's role in it, from its creation to the most recent stage of transfer from its venue to Panama.
Present at the meeting were deputies Ana Maria Mari Machado, vice-president of the National Assembly of the People's Power, and Yolanda Ferrer, president of the Commission of International Relations of the Cuban Parliament.
