Latin American Parliament Holds Sessions in Havana
The health commission will analyze updated information on the epidemiological situation in the region regarding the Ebola virus disease. Also on the agenda is a framework bill prohibiting the use and application of fillers in cosmetic surgery and treatment in Latin America and the Caribbean, and a revision of international sanitary rules.
Meanwhile, lawmakers with the Environment and Tourism commission will discuss reports by all countries of the region on legislations adopted by that entity between 2011 and 2014, as well as a bill on the protection of coral reefs, mangroves and marine eco-system, which will be presented by Curacao.
The parliamentarians will visit the Havana-based National Center for State Control of Medical Appliances and Pharmaceuticals and other institutions in the sector. They will also cancel a stamp marking the 50th anniversary of the Latin American Parliament.
