HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 21 (acn) A Cuban delegation is attending the 23rd General Assembly of Housing and City Planning Ministers and Top Authorities of Latin America and the Caribbean Caribe (MINURVI), under way in Mexico City until Friday, announced the Physical Planning Institute (IPF) in this capital on Thursday.
Major General Samuel Carlos Rodiles, president of IPF, heads the delegation, also composed by architect Oris Silvia Fernandez, president of the National Housing Institute and other professionals linked to the two organizations.
The first meeting of this kind took place in March, 1992.
Under the slogan "Iberian-America and the Caribbean: Towards Sustainable Development of Human Settlements," Cuba was the venue, on October 13-15, 1999, of the 8th Meeting of Ministers and the 4th Iberian-American Forum.
