HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 13 (ACN) The general methodology for foreign trade operations of goods in Cuba, which will be contained in the Resolution of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (MINCEX by its Spanish acronym), will soon be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic.
This was announced today on Twitter by the General Director of Foreign Trade of MINCEX, Vivian Herrera, and informed that the institution will carry out virtual trainings for all entrepreneurs in the country.
Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz, head of Foreign Trade and Investment, said recently that the Ministry, as part of Cuba's Economic and Social Strategy, strengthens actions for the promotion and diversification of exports, effective import substitution and obtaining resources through trade credits.
In August 2020, new regulations were approved that paved the way for foreign trade in the non-state sector and diversified the services and goods to be exported.
In order to facilitate the management of contracts between non-state workers and foreign clients, there are 41 state-owned companies that provide this service in Cuba.
By the close of March this year, more than 1,600 agreements had been signed, 79 of them for exports, according to MINCEX.
At the same time, the creation and consolidation of productive export centers in the territories is encouraged and one-stop shops are in operation for procedures related to foreign trade operations and the establishment of businesses with foreign investment.
