Correos de Cuba present at Universal Postal Union working meeting

HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 24 (ACN) The Correos de Cuba Business Group participated on Tuesday via videoconference in the second working meeting of the Users' Group of the Universal Postal Union (UPU).

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Postal Operators of 42 countries of the 192 nations that make up this international organization of the United Nations, according to José Manuel Valido, director of Communication of the Cuban entity, published in his official Facebook profile.

Under the slogan "Safe, affordable, accessible and fast", the main objective of the UPU's PosTranfer Group is to boost and promote financial services among its member countries and plans to promote, among others, the international money order service.

At the working meeting, the authorities were elected to direct and coordinate the strategies and actions to be developed in the short, medium and long term by members of the Group, in order to promote financial services among international postal operators.

The Cuban Business Group was represented by its Director of International Relations, Reinaldo Rodríguez, Raúl Cortina Parapar, advisor to the President, Francisco Ortiz Gaínza, Director of the Main Postal Technological Center and the team of the new Financial Department of this Basic Business Unit (UEB), which will henceforth assume the management and control of international and domestic financial services.
