HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 21 (ACN) Yuri Gala López, director of Bilateral Affairs of the U.S. General Directorate of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held an exchange at the Cuban Foreign Ministry headquarters with Mara Tekach, Chargé d'Affaires of the US in Havana.
The Cuban diplomat published on his Twitter profile that he asked the US representative to convey to his government Cuba's deep concerns and dissatisfaction with the deplorable conduct and record of the United States in the field of human rights.
"Today I received in @CubaMINREX the US Chargé d'Affaires, to whom I asked to convey to her government the deep concerns and dissatisfaction of #Cuba for the deplorable conduct and record of the #USA Government in the matter of human rights", tweeted Gala López.
In recent months, the White House has unleashed an escalation of measures and restrictions against the Cuban people, with the aim of suffocating the largest of the Antilles and discrediting the Cuban Revolution at the international level.
This situation was denounced by the Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, when he spoke at the most recent session of the United Nations General Assembly last November.
The objective of the United States is to damage the economy and at the same time the well-being of the Cuban family, as a clear violation of the most elementary human rights of our people, Rodríguez Parrilla said.
