HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 13 (ACN) Anayansi Rodriguez, Cuban vice foreign minister, presided over today a postmarked on occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Qatar.
At the ceremony, at the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rodriguez welcomed Abdullah bin Mohamed Ibrahim Al-Derbasti, who presented his credentials as ambassador of the Arab nation to Cuba just last week.
The diplomat recalled in her speech the close friendship between the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, and Amir Father Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
She also referred to the increase in exchange in different fields, especially in health, and in this regard she pointed out that "cooperation between Cuba and Qatar is solid, based on strong bases, and there is a common will to continue developing ties in all sectors of mutual benefit".
For his part, Al-Derbasti expressed the will of the Qatari authorities to continue strengthening relations between the two countries in the political, economic and social fields.
