Cuban VP denounces attacks of USA to Cuban physicians

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 10 (acn) Ines Maria Chapman, vice president of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, denounced the slander and lies of the United States government against Cuban medical missions in various countries of the world.

In her speech at the 9th African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Summit of Heads of State and Government, in Kenya, she explained that the noble and human work of Cuban doctors has been seen in the last months marred by false accusations launched by Washington to try to discredit it.
According to the Cuban Embassy in that African nation, the VP denounced at the ACP Summit that on the basis of a crude campaign of falsehoods, the United States government has increased persecution, actions and declarations to destroy health agreements between Cuba and many countries of the South.
Chapman also condemned the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on the Cuban people almost 60 years ago, which from April 2018 to March 2019 has caused losses in the order of 4,343.6 million dollars.
The Cuban delegation to the 9th ACP Summit also includes Gisela Garcia, Director of Sub-Saharan Africa in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ernesto Gomez, Cuba´s Ambassador in Kenya; Pedro Pablo San Jorge, Deputy Director of International Economic Organizations in the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investments, among other officials, according to Cubaminrex website.
