Cuba and Angola recognize unwavering friendship between both nationsHAVANA, Dec 9 (ACN) The Secretary General of the People' s Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA), Paulo Pombolo, praised the unwavering friendship between Angola and Cuba when he received the president of the Federation of Cuban Women, Teresa Amarelle Boue.

The meeting took place at the national seat of the ruling party with the participation of the secretary general of the Organization of Angolan Women (OMA), Luzia Ingles Van-Dunem, the Cuban ambassador Esther Armenteros and other members of the Cuban diplomatic mission.
Pombolo thanked the presence of the Caribbean island in a recent international symposium on the history of the MPLA, held in Luanda in order to demonstrate with scientific rigor the struggle for national independence and the construction of a democratic state and the rule of law.
The ties between Cuba and Angola can't be hindered by anything, said the party leader, who recalled the internationalist cooperation during the war and the subsequent aid for reconstruction and economic development.
For her part, Amarelle Boue confirmed the award of the Order Ana Betancourt to Luzia Ingles Van-Dunem, for her outstanding work in favor of women's rights and just causes in the world.
This award is the highest recognition granted by the Cuban Council of State to women with relevant performance in different fields of political and social life.
