HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 4 (acn) Bruno Rodriguez, Cuba´s Minister of Foreign Affairs, denounced the new measures of the United States government aimed at hindering the entry of oil to the Caribbean island.
The Cuban diplomat said those are "gansterile practices of threat and punishment against legitimate business relations between sovereign states."
The US government took another step in the aggressiveness against Venezuela and Cuba, adding six ships carrying oil from the South American country to the Caribbean island to its unilateral list, despite which Rodriguez noted that "Cuba is still fighting."
The vessels punished by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury Department are Icarus, from Panama, and five others from Venezuela.
This measure, which will be followed by similar ones, in accordance with American threats, occurred one week after the sanction of the Cuban company Corporacion Panamericana S.A. for its links with Venezuela.
