HAVANA, Nov 22 (ACN) Chinese President Xi Jinping reiterated the eternal nature of the friendship between his country and Cuba when he received credentials from the new Cuban ambassador to Beijing, Carlos Miguel Pereira.
According to Prensa Latina, Xi reiterated his firm will to foster cooperative relations between both socialist countries, no matter how difficult the international situation may be.
The same source reported from Brasilia that former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva considered his country's recent vote at the United Nations in favor of the US blockade against Cuba for almost six decades as shameful.
"It's a disgrace from someone who doesn't respect himself," Lula da Silva said during an extensive interview with journalist Fernando Morais of the Nocaute channel on YouTube.
At the same time, travel agency CEOs in the United States recognized the importance of broadening the scope of travel opportunities to Cuba, which Americans still have today, during a seminar held at the Cuban embassy to Washington.
The travel representative Insight Cuba, Tom Popper, appreciated as great attractions of Cuba, being a safe destination, culturally rich and that, apart from being geographically close, offers transforming experiences.
On the other hand, the governor of the Kosice region, the easternmost part of Slovakia, RastislavTrnka, welcomed the Cuban ambassador, Yamila Sonia Pita, who made a visit to that city, the second most important in the central European country.
The diplomat and the governor exchanged views on the potential for bilateral cooperation in different sectors, including the economic and cultural ones, according to the diplomatic mission in that European nation.
Likewise, the Cuban ambassador to Jamaica, Ines Fors Fernandez, exchanged with the president of the People' s National Party ( PNP), Peter Phillips.
Meanwhile, Cuba's appointed ambassador to Guinea, Carlos Moya Ramos, arrived in Conakry, where he was received by the deputy director of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Guineans Abroad, Mohamed DramE.
During the reception, the two diplomats exchanged views on bilateral ties, which will celebrate their 60th anniversary in 2020.
Besides, the new Cuban ambassador to Austria, Loipa Sanchez Lorenzo, presented her credentials, received by the Secretary General of the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of the European country, Johannes Peterlik.
