Cuban Minister of Culture visits LuxembourgHAVANA, Nov 21 (ACN) During a working visit to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Cuban Minister of Culture Alpidio Alonso thanked the local authorities for their support for the Cubans' battle to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the US on the Caribbean island, which also damages the cultural sector.

Alonso was received by Fernando Etgen and Marc Angel, President of the Chamber of Deputies and the Foreign Affairs Committee, respectively, of the legislative body, as well as by his counterpart, Sam Tanson, who also heads the justice portfolio of that European country.
Both sides agreed on the common interest in strengthening cultural relations between Cuba and Luxembourg and exchanged ideas with the aim of achieving greater ties between the two people.
The Cuban Culture Minister visited the Museum of Modern Art in Luxembourg, where he admired the genius, the conceptual depth, the impressive and also challenging aesthetics of the pieces exhibited.
The program in Luxembourg concluded with a surprise visit to La Brasserie de l'Arret (Cuban Brewery), where Alonso confirmed the interest of Luxembourgers in Cuban music, dances and rhythms.
