SANCTI SPIRITUS, Cuba, Apr 11 (acn) Like Tom Sawyer, 'we are going to the cave in group¨, said Carlos Alberto "Tim" Cremata when referring to the artistic tour of La Colmenita ( the Little Beehive) Children Company through the province of Sancti Spiritus, in honor of the Seventh Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba.
Tim, who is the director and founder of that great theater troupe, said at press conference in the city of Sancti Spiritus, that this initiative came after being elected a delegate to the conclave.
I felt so honored, that when I get a really big gift of life I want to keep doing more, hence I humbly asked to the Minister of Culture to allow us to make this journey in places that were not used to receiving artistic embassies, he stated.
Going to communities is something very nice to honor the Party Congress, because those are sites that rarely have the opportunity to enjoy a show of this kind, Cremata noted.
Just imagine, he added, how people will feel in those places when we get there with PMM (For a Better World) -a project which aims to provide interactive-show, which fell in love with the idea as us and decided to share fortune with us.
As for the artistic proposals, he commented it includes the children's story La Cucarachita Martina accompanied by the own orchestra of the company, which will play popular songs of Cuban music composed by Los Van Van, Adalberto Alvarez, Alexander Abreu, Eliades Ochoa and others.
He added that presentations are an opportunity to also pay tribute to local Berta Martinez, great director of Cuban theater and who gave the name to this child company and to La Colmenita from Jarahueca, artistic group of Sancti Spiritus province.
The tour began yesterday night in Tuinucú and ends at Sancti Spiritus´ capital on April 15, prelude to the start of the party appointment.
