Danish Theater Company to Perform in Cuba

Danish Theater Company to Perform in CubaHAVANA, Cuba, Mar 3 (acn) MishMash International Theatre Company will be presented in Havana with the work The nose as part of the exchange developed by centers of ASSITEJ (International Association of Theatre for Children and Youth) of Cuba and Denmark.

The play tells the story of a man who one day gets up and does not have his nose put on.

This extraordinary event happens to Mr. K, a public, unadventurous and ordinary employee, who given the abrupt disappearance began a desperate search with the help of his assistant Igor.

The presentations of MishMash International Theatre Company in Havana will be on Thursday March 5, at half past two p.m. at La Villa Theatre, in Guanabacoa.

Its other presentation shall be on Saturday seven, at 10 am, at the headquarters of La Proa Theatre, located on 166 of San Ignacio Street, between Obispo and Obrapia, in Old Havana.

Sources from the National Council of Performing Arts stressed that this theater company is one of the three Danish groups that won the call issued by ASSITEJ-Denmark to select theatrical shows to participate in the 25th Guantánamo-Baracoa Theater Crusade.

The exchange will be completed with the intervention of Cuban artists at the Festival of Theatre for young audiences, in Denmark, next April.

For Cuba there will be present the groups Andante, from Bayamo; Guiñol, from Guantanamo; Teatro La Villa and Teatro La Proa, from Havana; and Alas, from Pinar del Río; which shall also participate in two workshops and theoretical events included within the exchange in the Scandinavian country.

MishMash International Theatre Company was founded in 2012 in Copenhagen which became the capital of Denmark in the early fifteenth century.
