HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 20 (acn) With the opening today of the Eden Village Cayo Guillermo Club, at Jardines del Rey tourist pole, the Italian firm Eden Viaggi strengthens its tour operation in Cuba thus taking advantage of the high season in this Caribbean destination.
The club will operate at the Gran Caribe Club Cayo Guillermo hotel, recently built in the central northern cays of the island, resort winning position among international visitors, according to statement from the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR by its Spanish acronym).
In Varadero, one of the largest Cuban receiver poles, the Italian tour operator also opens the Eden Special Formula Village , at Cuatro Palmas Hotel, and the Playa Alameda club was renewed, installation of Premium category managed by Iberostar chain in conjunction with Gaviota Tourism Group.
For this winter the European firm also confirmed the revival of its flagship product in Cayo Largo del Sur; as well as the one opened in Santa Maria cay last season.
Eden Viaggi enriches its operation in the Antillean archipelago, to meet the preferences and expectations of each segment of the Italian market, which has increased in 2014, the note notes.
From January to September, 83 892 Italian tourists arrived in Cuba, a growth of almost 17 percent over the same period of 2013, figures that position the European nation as the fourth source market for the island, behind Canada, Germany and the UK.
