For 2022, we have to focus further on our communities' spirituality, Diaz-Canel assures

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 29 (ACN) For 2022 we also have the challenge of focusing more on the spirituality of our communities, said today on Twitter the president of the country, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez.

The Cuban head of state noted that while we have been focused on making transformations in the neighborhoods, recovering facilities and improving physical spaces, the spirituality of the neighborhoods is also essential.

On Tuesday, Diaz-Canel reviewed the most recent actions that have been carried out in the 67 vulnerable communities in Havana, where work is currently underway.

He stressed that it is in the neighborhoods where the effects of the blockade and the measures of the U.S. administration are suffered; and it is precisely there where the people have not only been able to resist, but also to provide creative solutions to a whole group of problems that had remained unanswered in the past.

The Cuban leader pointed out that knowing what the neighborhood has, what needs to be improved and what it lacks, is essential to act with greater precision in what is needed there.

From Socialism, from the Revolution, with participation, the people can transform their lives, individual life, family life as well as social life, and therefore their community, which is where they carry out most of their activities, he remarked.
