HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 27 (ACN) The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, talked by phone with Evo Morales and with Luis Arce, the newly elected president of Bolivia, to congratulate them on the victory of the Movement for Socialism (MAS).
This was made known by Díaz-Canel through twitter this morning when referring to the exchanges with representatives of the Latin American left, during which he addressed the historical significance of the moment for the region.
¨I shared the joy of the Cubans for the transcendental victory that allows the Bolivian people to recover their social conquests;¨ this was the tweet with which the president conveyed his satisfaction with the result of the last elections in the Andean nation.
Luis Arce got 52.4 percent of the votes, compared to his opponent of the party Comunidad Ciudadana , Carlos Mesa.
