Cuba reported 145 new cases of COVID 19, 74 discharged and no deaths



HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 28 (ACN) Cuba studied a total of 15,544 samples for surveillance during the day, resulting positive 145. The country accumulates 11, 608,349 samples taken and 965,002 positive.

At the end of December 27, 3,348 patients were admitted, 2,460 suspected, 265 under surveillance and 623 confirmed active.

Of the total number of cases, 90 were contacts of confirmed cases; 50 with source of infection abroad and 5 without source of infection determined. There were 74 medical discharges, accumulating 956,001 patients recovered (99.1%) and there were no deaths. The ICU is treating 11 confirmed patients, including 3 in critical and 8 in severe condition.

Among the 145 positive cases, 36.5% (53) were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 133,196, which represents 13.8% of those confirmed to date. The diagnosed cases belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age (27), 20 to 39 (55), 40 to 59 (41), 60 and over (22).
