COVID-19 in Cuba: 128 new cases and one decease yesterday

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 24 (ACN) Cuba reported today 128 new COVID-19 cases, 63 medical discharges and one death.

Up until yesterday, 552 people remain hospitalized, with 4 and 7 of them in critical and serious condition, respectively, according to the daily report of the Ministry of Public Health.

At the close of yesterday, December 26, 3,182 patients were still in hospital and 2,376 were suspected cases, whereas 254 were under surveillance and 552 were confirmed cases.

A total of 17,176 samples were taken during the day, and 128 tested positive. Cuba has taken 11,592,805 samples, and 964,857 have been confirmed as positive.

Of the 128 positive cases, 28.9% (37) were asymptomatic, making a total of 133,143 cases (13.8% of those confirmed to date).
