Cuba reported 240 new cases of COVID 19, 266 discharges and no deaths



HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 22 (ACN) Cuba studied a total of 17,944 samples for surveillance during the day, with 240 positive results. The country accumulates 10, 947,424 samples taken and 961,042 positive.

At the end of November 21, 4,657 patients had been admitted, 3,073 suspected, 218 under surveillance and 1,366 confirmed active.

Of the total number of cases, 236 were contacts of confirmed cases; 2 with source of infection abroad and 2 without source of infection determined. There were 266 medical discharges, accumulating 951,324 patients recovered (99.0%) and there were no deaths. Thirty-nine confirmed patients are being treated in ICUs, of whom 16 are critical and 23 are serious.

Among the 240 positive cases, 12.9% (31) were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 132,341, representing 13.7% of those confirmed to date, and the diagnosed cases belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age (38), 20 to 39 (45), 40 to 59 (78) and over 60 (79).
