Havana, Cuba, Nov 3 (acn) Cuba and Venezuela signed at the 34th International Fair of Havana (FIHAV by its Spanish acronym) a new collaboration agreement to diversify and boost economic ties with non-oil sectors.
Orlando Hernandez Guillén, president of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, and Orlando Camacho, leader of Fedeindustria, signed the document in presence of Rodrigo Malmierca, Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, and Alí Rodríguez Araque, ambassador of the South American country in Havana.
This incipient alliance brings Cuba closer to the federation of Chambers and associations of Venezuelan artisans, micro, small and medium enterprises and industries of all areas, on mutually advantageous basis.
The objective is to promote exports and strengthen the current exchange with the proposal of more than 400 products of potential importance in the Cuban market.
30 Venezuelan businessmen participate in FIHAV 2016, which gathers more than 3,500 exhibitors from 73 countries.
Malmierca reaffirmed the Cuban government's unconditional support to Venezuela and its President Nicolás Maduro, who firmly faces an economic siege and the aggressions of imperialism and the oligarchy with the pretension of drowning the Bolivarian Revolution.
