Cuban FM thanks NAM for its support in the fight against US blockade

HAVANA, Oct 24 (ACN) Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, denounced the hostility of US policy against Cuba and thanked the international support by addressing the Ministerial Preparatory Meeting of the 18th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The Cuban FM recognized the role of Venezuela at the head of NAM during 2016-2019, as well as rejected the position of the United States as responsible for destabilization in several regions, such as the recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel and the occupied Syrian Golan as part of the territory of that country.
He also expressed his disagreement with Washington's determination to meddle in the internal affairs of Latin American and Caribbean countries, publicly declaring the validity of the Monroe Doctrine.
Rodriguez Parrilla reaffirmed Cuba's support for the legitimate government headed by Nicolas Maduro and for the civic-military union of the Venezuelan people and confirmed his solidarity with Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega, as well as congratulating President Evo Morales on his re-election.
The Cuban diplomat concluded by thanking the traditional support of NAM and its members "in our just demand to put an end to the blockade, the main obstacle to our development.
