Estela de Carlotto bids Cuba a satisfied farewellHAVANA, Cuba, Sep 19 (ACN) Estela de Carlotto, president of the Association of Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo, said on Thursday in the emblematic Hotel Nacional, in this capital, to be very satisfied with her visit to Cuba.
The Argentine activist told ACN that she felt very flattered when she was received by Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel because she hadn't met him before.

Diaz-Canel is very sincere and transparent, and his will to overcome these bad moments that you are going through now (the Cubans), stands out and that you are going to triumph, she added.
Carlotto, who has been invited on this occasion by the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), expressed her joy at returning to Havana and seeing its people as so many times since, visiting the country for the first time in 1984.
She also thanked the FMC for the program of activities it prepared for her and recalled the unforgettable meetings she had with the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.
Regarding the work of the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo, she said that they continue in their efforts to find the minors who disappeared during the last Argentine dictatorship (1976-1983), while at the same time they remember, and find truth and justice.
Finally, she said that there are crucial moments in which Latin America has to unite again to honor the heroes of the great homeland.
Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo, created in 1977, became an organization recognized worldwide for its struggle for identity, and so far has found 130 grandchildren, including Estela Carlotto´s own in 2014.
