Antonio Becali, President of the Cuba´s National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER by its Spanish acronym), held a working meeting with Christine Hoebes, Deputy Minister of international Relations and Cooperation of Namibia, at Havana´s Sports City Coliseum.

Becali offered a broad overview of the development of the sector on Cuba and detailed the areas in which INDER can provide collaboration to the sister African nation.
Among these, he highlighted the training of human resources in different sciences applied to sports and physical culture, high-performance training, sports for all, medical care and anti-doping control, among others.
Hoebes, also co-chair of the Cuba-Namibia Joint Working Group, thanked Becali for the broad information received and praised Cuba's contribution to the definitive independence of her country.
She then explained that for several decades Namibia's priority was to rebuild itself and create infrastructure in key sectors such as health, economy and education.
Now, she said, the sport is very interesting and we have thought of Cuba as an ally to face this task.
The parties agreed to officially establish bilateral interests and advance in exchanges as soon as possible.
