HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 11 (ACN) During his speech at the swearing-in ceremony as President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro stated before the Supreme Court of Justice and nearly a hundred international delegations that he wishes a new beginning for the Bolivarian Revolution.

I know that we have great challenges, but I want to change everything that has to be changed to improve the country, to achieve the path, without return, of prosperity and economic growth," said the president after taking office as President of the South American nation for the constitutional period 2019-2025.

We have complied and will continue to comply with the Constitution, with democracy and with our people," said Maduro.

He affirmed that the Bolivarian nation is profoundly democratic and an example of this is that in 19 years 25 elections have been held, of which 23 times the Bolivarian and Chavista forces have won.

Maduro recalled that it is clear, public, notorious and known that Venezuela is the center of a campaign to manipulate the reality of that country.

He also stated that today's world is no longer hegemonic and unipolar, and will never be.

There is a humanity standing and Venezuela is on the front line of the battle, we are in a vanguard position, he said.

In addition, he called on the peoples of the region to fight for unity over ideological intolerance and against the rights that they wish to impose.

The Venezuelan President also expressed that it is necessary to begin to act to defend the future of Latin America and the Caribbean and resume the path of cooperation and integration.
