HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 20 (ACN) Army General Raul Castro, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, and Miguel Diaz-Canel, President of the Council of State and Ministers, sent messages of congratulations on the 39th anniversary of the triumph of the Sandinista Revolution to Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, president and vice president, respectively, of that sister nation.

I wish to express my congratulations, of the Cuban people and the Communist Party, to you, on the 39th anniversary of the triumph of the Sandinista Revolution.
Over the years, we have built indestructible bonds of solidarity, collaboration and brotherhood with Nicaragua and the FSLN. I reiterate our unwavering support and solidarity in the face of attempts to destabilize that sister nation in order to overthrow the legitimately constituted government.
