HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 12 (ACN) Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo send a message on Monday to Cuba's President Raul Castro congratulating the country for successful general elections held on Sunday.
We want to congratulate you Raul, and the great Cuban people, of Fidel, of Raul, of the glorious Cuban Revolution for this new extraordinary lesson of dignity and sovereignty, which we admire and praise, said the letter.
According to Prensa Latina News Agency, the text also highlights the struggles and victories, that Cuba with the leadership of Fidel, Raul and the Communist Party shows the world with growing pride the quality of its institutions and above all, the proud consciousness of its people always moving forward, in life and liberty.
Millions of Cuban people went to the polls on Sunday to elect the deputies to the National and Provincial Assemblies of the People's Power, which ratified its support to the Revolution and Socialism.
