SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba Feb 21 (ACN) Voting for all or a unified vote during the March 11 elections means a "Yes" for Cuba, for social justice and in defense of the achievements of the Revolution, said the representative of the People's Power for the 76th district in Santiago de Cuba, Elvira Orozco.
If we read the biographies of the candidates of the Provincial Assembly of the People's Power and the Cuban Parliament we can see that they are people with merits and are genuine representatives of all sectors of society, said the radio journalist professional to ACN.
She commented that she had recently seen a report on Television on the visit of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro to the Jose Marti Urban Center in one of his tours prior to a similar process in the area where the leader of the Revolution was candidate to the National Assembly.
I had the privilege of covering that event and remember his conversation with people that gathered at the site in a spontaneous way after learning of Fidel's presence and the others that were proposed were humble people from the grass roots, not millionaires like in the case of the US and the example of President Donald Trump.
Donald Trump, said Elvira classifies in that category and does not care for any program that would benefit the unprotected sector of the population.
She expressed that today´s achievements fought by so many Cuban people during centuries must be defended and to vote for all is a way to do so.
We will not vote for those that will benefit us as individuals or if he or she is charismatic, but for dignified men and women with a rich work and revolutionary history, said Elvira.
The journalist has over one thousand electoral voters in her district and this will be her second mandate in office.
