HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 22 (ACN) Workers of the Construction Materials Company in Ciego de Avila support with their productions the advance of the program of assembly of photovoltaic parks and the minimization of the effects of drought.
Ronny Castillo González, its commercial director, told Cuban News Agency that both tasks, prioritized in the territory, receive aggregates and for the second stage they also supply the necessary cement blocks in the installation of new pipe lines.
Currently we guarantee stone dust and gravel for the foundry of all the bases of the solar panels of the parks that are built in Chambas and Ceballos, and for the new hydraulic networks, of the main city, the most affected in the province due to the scarcity of water, said Castillo González.
Construction Materials in Ciego de Avila is earmarked for other works of interest in Health, such as the modernization and expansion of the Antonio Luaces Iraola and Roberto Rodríguez hospitals.
Education, Tourism, Defense, Housing and the Ministry of Internal Commerce are other sectors that receive mosaics, tiles, blocks, gravel, sand, stone, stone dust, according to the plans of each for this year.
Eduardo Serpa García, director of investments in the Electricity Company in the province, told ACN that the construction of the photovoltaic parks in Chambas and Ceballos will contribute to the National Electric System 9.4 megawatt combined.
The first one should be ready by summer and the second one before year´s end, when they will also begin the assembly of another park in the province, said Serpa Gacrcia .
