Tremor felt in Eastern Cuba

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 16 (acn) Wednesday, at 6:24 pm, the Network Stations of the Cuban National Seismological Service recorded a perceptible earthquake, located at coordinates 19.75 North Latitude and 75.59 west longitude, southwest of the city of Santiago de Cuba, with a depth of 20 km and a magnitude of 3.9 on the Richter scale.

There have been reports of perceptibility in the city of Santiago de Cuba and the municipality of Songo-La Maya of that same province, in the city of Guantanamo, and the towns of Caimanera and Hatibonico of that province.
No human or material damages were reported.
