Raul Meets with China's Communist Party Politburo Member Sun Zhengcai

HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 5 (acn) Army General Raul Castro, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party, received Sun Zhengcai, member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China and secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Committee.

In a fraternal atmosphere on Tuesday, they ratified the interest of further deepening the historic relations uniting the two parties, governments and peoples. In particular, Sun Zhengcai informed on the results of the 5th Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the economic and social objectives tackled there.
The Chinese leader was accompanied by Zhang Tuo, Ambassador to Cuba and Zhou Li, Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
Also participating in the meeting, representing Cuba, were Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, second secretary of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party, and Jose Ramon Balaguer, member of the Secretariat and head of its Department of International Relations.
