HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 29 (acn) Since the triumph of the Bolivarian Revolution with its eternal president Hugo Chavez, educational collaborations between Cuba and Venezuela began, and today both nations reaffirm their ties during the 14th International Congress Pedagogy 2015.
In an exclusive interview with ACN, Rodulfo Perez, Deputy Minister of Education in Venezuela, confessed being grateful that the missions have changed the vision of the Bolivarian people, where the formation of values and social inclusion are key pillars in the homeland of Bolívar.
He said the integration with Cuba, in the context of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA by its Spanish acronym), is of great importance, proof of this are the results achieved by his country, which has the second best education system in Latin America after Cuba.
He further commented the results of missions Yo Si Puedo, Ribas and Sucre, as well as the contribution of Cuban teachers, who took education to very intricate points of Venezuela, with which they managed to eradicate illiteracy.
In this regard, Ena Elsa Velázquez, minister of education in Cuba, told exclusively that despite that nation has lived difficult times, cooperation has not stopped ; educators must radiate with their light to those who need it, she said.
She stressed that the joint work between the two countries is strengthened each year, "the 2015 covenants have been ratified, from primary school to post-doctoral training the knowledge exchange is mutual," she added.
The Venezuelan delegation is one of the largest with about 700 participants, who will present 300 papers in Pedagogy 2015, event in session until Friday at the Palace of Conventions in Havana.
