Since July 15, and as a result of the worsening of the national and international epidemiological crisis, Cuban governmental and sanitary authorities have adopted a group of measures.

They apply to Cuban travelers arriving in the country through the air terminals of the tourist destinations of Varadero (Juan Gualberto Gómez International Airport) and Cayo Coco (Jardines del Rey International Airport), maintaining the arrival of foreign tourists through those airports, without affecting the operation of José Martí International Airport in Havana and Antonio Maceo International Airport in Santiago de Cuba.

All Cuban travelers arriving through the Varadero and Cayo Coco airports will be obliged to spend 14 nights in hotel facilities.

Another preventive measure for these travelers has been the limitation of the amount of luggage to be brought in to only one piece for each person.

Mandatory screening of one hundred percent of airport personnel, transport and tourism workers upon arrival and departure from the center where they work is also established, including systematic antigen testing of the most exposed workers.

On the other hand, the measure of not allowing the free movement of tourists out of these tourist destinations is maintained.

In the rest of the airports, the International Sanitary Control protocol is still in force, which is being developed upon arrival to the country of all national and foreign travelers. (ACN)
