Travelers arriving in Cuba through the air terminals of the tourist poles -whether they are residents or not on the island- must comply with new measures aimed at improving the quality of airport services and speeding up the flow of visitors.

Among them is the offer of tourist packages for a seven-day stay and the transfer from the airport to the hotel where the traveler will stay. These packages may be purchased through Cuban travel agencies directly, prior to the date of the flight, or through tour operators that work with Cuba as a destination.

As a result of the above, it will no longer be possible to buy the tourist package at the airport itself, in an effort to make mobility in those air terminals more viable.

These decisions complement those already put into effect on June 5, so that passengers returning to the nation through the airports of those tourist enclaves, must carry out the epidemiological quarantine for seven days in the province of arrival and make the payment of accommodation in freely convertible currency.

Likewise, it is ratified the obligation to show a PCR test negative to COVID-19, 72 hours prior to the trip; also, the requirement of another test of that type at the moment of arrival at Cuban airports and, then, on the sixth day of the quarantine in the hotel where they are staying.
