Cuban hotels, resorts, suites, companies, tour operators and travel agencies are nominated for the World Travel Awards (WTA) 2021, whose categories cover the entire spectrum of the travel and tourism industry, from hotels, resorts and destinations to airlines and operators.

   Among other sections, Cuba features in the country's leading hotels and resorts the Manzana Kempinski, Nacional de Cuba, Iberostar Parque Central, Meliá Cayo Coco and Meliá Cohíba, according to listings on the WTAs' website.

   Both the general public and travel industry executives are eligible to vote in this 28th edition of the WTAs, recognized worldwide as the ultimate seal of quality, where winners set the benchmark. The results will be announced next October.

   The annual program, the most prestigious and comprehensive in the industry, with its Grand Tour develops a series of regional galas to recognize excellence within each continent, culminating in a Grand Final at the close of the year.

   In 2020, a record 2,033,494 votes were cast, among which Cuba's leaders were the Hotel Nacional, the Lorca Presidential Suite of the Manzana Kempinski, the Paradisus Río de Oro Resort and Spa and the Cuba Direct Agency. (ACN)
