turismocuba   Tourism continues to provide its services in Cuba, under the premise of protecting the health of both workers and foreign visitors, who arrive at all the country's hotel facilities.

This was announced by the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur) in its official Twitter account, where it clarified that the leisure sector will provide services nationwide under the strict hygiene protocols established by the Ministry of Public Health.

"Tourism continues in the country despite regulations in the different territories. The safety of clients and workers is guaranteed with the implementation of strict hygiene and safety protocols. #CubaTuDestinoSeguro #CubaTravel", tweeted the Mintur.

Since the reopening of international tourism and the resumption of operations at the José Martí International Airport in the Cuban capital on December 1st, Public Health has instituted the Certification for Safer and More Hygienic Tourism, granted to the tourist facilities and services that guarantee the safety of workers and customers in this new stage of confronting the pandemic.

Despite the restrictions imposed by COVID-19, which has resulted in a decrease of international visitors and the development of tourism worldwide, Cuba is consolidated as a safe destination for foreign customers.

In this regard, the World Tourism Organization estimated that international tourist arrivals globally fell between 58 and 78 percent in 2020 due to the pandemic. (ACN)
