The Brisas Guardalavaca hotel, inaugurated in November 1994 on the beach of the same name that internationally distinguishes the Holguín tourism product, recently reached its 26th anniversary amid strict bio-safety protocols that reaffirm it as a safe destination for tourism in Cuba.

This four-star category facility belonging to the Cubanacán group has 437 rooms in the sun and beach mode with All Inclusive service, and is distinguished by the excellent treatment it offers, endorsed by clients who visit it through web pages specialized in the sector such as TripAdvisor.

Mayra Rodriguez, manager of the hotel, told ACN that in order to make the reopening of the current winter tourist season effective, as happened with the resumption of operations with national clients since July 23, the entity was submitted to strict checks by experts from the Ministries of Tourism and Public Health.

Mark Mazachowsky, one of the Canadians staying in the building, reiterated that he felt safer in this hotel than in his own country, due to the conditions created and the seriousness with which the health procedures are followed in the face of the new coronavirus.

Everything is different here and since we arrived at the airport I realized that I must have decided before to return to this tourist destination, assured the tourist, who has visited Cuba 40 times.

Holguín occupies an important place in Cuba within the services to international tourism with its renowned Guardalavaca and Pesquero resorts, which will be extended from the new projects underway in the Ramón de Antilla peninsula, where it already finished the execution of the first hotel and there are potentialities for more than 19,000 rooms.

The beaches of Holguín, located on the northeast coast, have one of the main attributes in the tourist segment due to their clean, warm and transparent waters, with fine white sand, which makes them one of the richest landscapes of Cuban nature.

These attractive areas are located a few kilometers from the site where Christopher Columbus landed on Cuba, on October 28, 1492, and are surrounded by a unique undulating topography and abundant coastal vegetation, which make them preferred sites of the Caribbean island.
