The Gaviota Tourism Group announced that the construction of the first hotel that will operate on the Ramon de Antilla peninsula, at the entrance to the Nipe Bay, in the Cuban province of Holguin, is about to be completed, thus starting a breakthrough stage in the tourist exploitation of a new and extraordinarily attractive place.

The new hotel facility will have comfortable rooms, swimming pools, restaurants and a lobby for travelers who choose this region, considered a Protected Natural Landscape and one of the paradisiacal places with excellent white sand beaches, turquoise waters and an enviable natural setting.

According to criteria of experts, the Ramon de Antilla peninsula has potential to build more than 19,000 rooms and due to its proximity to other resorts such as Guardalavaca and Cayo Saetía, the area offers great potential for the development of tours, excursions and circuits, in addition to nature tourism.

In its geography, seasoned with legends of corsairs and pirates; the English filibuster William Hastings stands out, who lived in the area and is recognized as one of its first settlers, of whom it is speculated that his treasure still remains hidden in these places.

Antilla is the smallest municipality in the province of Holguín and has a surface area of 100.81 km2, made up of a narrow coastal strip that occupies the El Ramón Peninsula, which separates the Nipe and Banes bays. (ACN)
