The International Tourism Fair of Cuba (FITCUBA) will be held in May 2021 in Varadero, announced Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba, during a working tour of the popular sun and beach destination.
The intention is to hold a great Tourism Fair, with the participation of tour operators, so that we can show new products and a Varadero with a renewed image, based on the number of construction works that will impact this peninsula, said Marrero Cruz.
The Prime Minister noted the progress of the investment process in the Boulevard of the resort city, with a group of works under construction, and the Plaza America Convention Center, whose increase in category should be accompanied by a quality service, as should also happen in the rest of the hotel and extrahotel entities of the pole, with four thousand 400 rooms sold in August, he stressed.
If this period of crisis in tourism, due to the spread of the COVID-19 disease in the island and the world, was of any use to Varadero, it was to perfect its facilities and prepare for a new stage, which will be very aggressive in the commercial aspect due to the high competition, he argued.
