aerolineaIberostar's new airline, World2Fly, will begin operations next year, and will have Cuba among the first destinations it will fly to in the Caribbean.

"We would like to make the Caribbean. Dominican Republic, Mexico and Cuba," said Gabriel SubĂas, CEO of World2Meet (W2M), the Spanish hotel company's receptive and bedbank since January 2020. He added that the launch of World 2 Fly "is going well, we already have one plane contracted, a new A350 and we are waiting to sign the second one.

Havana, Cancun and Punta Cana will be the first destinations designed to begin operations, scheduled for March or April, depending on demand in the air sector and the situation of the pandemic globally.

World2Fly thus adds another airline that will connect Spain to the popular Caribbean destinations for tourism, where the Iberostar hotel company has a strong presence.

This chain has 17 hotels in Cuba, the largest number in the Caribbean, followed by Mexico (11) and the Dominican Republic (7), which is a reason to guarantee a link in its new flights and initiate them precisely in these destinations to later connect with Brazil, Jamaica and the United States, where the hotel company also has facilities.
