The emblematic Pernik Hotel in the city of Holguín, belonging to the Islazul Group branch, has a renewed image after the execution of several investments focused on customer service areas such as the lobby, the rooms and the swimming pool.
Maikel Robelt, commercial specialist in the tourism sector in the eastern territory, said the ACN that since late last year began the installation of a set of works in order to raise the comfort and quality of service, which did not stop despite the effects caused by the COVID-19 in the province.
The main investments were focused on the pool area, which was completely repaired according to international standards and added other values such as barbecue service, reserved areas and comfortable bathrooms.
The rest of the renovation actions were linked to the revival and expansion of the Party Room, mainly in open spaces, as well as the replacement of the furniture and ambience of the hotel lobby.
The next investments planned in the facility will focus on the remodeling of the restaurant and meeting rooms, which serve as the headquarters of various scientific events developed in the province, said Robelt.
During 2020, investments have also been made in the four remaining hotel facilities of the Islazul Group in Holguin, as Villa Don Lino, in the municipality Rafael Freyre, Miraflores, in Moa, and Villa El Bosque and Mirador de Mayabe, in Holguin, whose work has focused primarily on the rooms and the areas of recreation and catering.
The Pernik Hotel, located in the vicinity of the Mayor General Calixto García Iñiguez Revolution Square, has been open to the national and international market since 1980, where the largest number of clients received in recent months have come to the accommodation services of the entity for work reasons, business or participation in some scientific event.
Before the arrival of COVID-19, foreign guests, generally from Germany, Spain, Canada and Italy, were also lodged in the capital of Holguin, as were participants in international competitions held in the province, such as the Romerías de Mayo and the Fiesta de la Cultura Iberoamericana.
