The Brisas Sierra Mar hotel, located in the mountainous municipality of Guamá, and belonging to the Cubanacán Group, is the tourist product of greater demand in this summer in the province of Santiago de Cuba, in the sales of the Cubatur Travel Agency.
This way, it ratifies itself to be one of the favorite ones in the modality of sun and beach of that chain and so far in August it has had days with 85 percent of occupation, fulfilling the clients the hygienic sanitary measures for a pleasant and sure stay.
Brisas Sierra Mar reopened to the national market at the beginning of July, month in which the level of occupation behaved around 44 percent, while in August, already in the Phase three post-Covid-19, it almost doubled by the acceptance that it has, with a pleasant view to the Sierra Maestra and the Caribbean Sea, given its location in the coast.
It has 200 rooms on three levels located on terraces and forms a complex with Los Galeones, located 12 kilometers away and 60 meters above sea level.
The Commander in Chief Fidel Castro inaugurated the Sierra Mar Hotel on January 2, 1994 and it was he who suggested it be named after its location between the waters of the Caribbean Sea and the mountain range.
Before the visit of the leader of the Revolution it was identified as Sevilla Uno, a name later changed by the words he wrote in the visitors' book: "Impressive beauty. We are proud. The potential of this region, Santiago and Pilon, is enormous. Mountains and sea combined in a way that is hard to match. I wish them the best successes they are already having".
