International tourists visiting Jardines del Rey destination, north of the Cuban province of Ciego de Avila, from the post-COVID-19 reopening will have guarantees of outdoor enjoyment and attractive non-hotel products, even if they cannot travel to near cities.

Luis Baez, commercial representative of the ECOTUR travel agency in Ciego de Avila, told the press that traditional options that enjoy the preference of customers will be maintained, such as nautical, ecological and sports activities, while new ones are redesigned such as car and horse rides within the islets.

Those who visit the hotels in Coco and Guillermo keys will be able to opt for various excursions that will take them to virgin beaches and well-preserved sites, watch birds or a wide variety of species of flora and fauna.

The attractions also include the site La Guira, one of the most emblematic places of the cays, which recreates the history of the first settlers of Cayo Coco -charcoal burners- with their traditions, the Jabalí (wild boar) cave, located in an ecological reserve, and the dunes of Loma del Puerto, among the highest in the insular Caribbean.

Other novelties are the motorcycle and bicycle excursions along trails that allow the enjoyment of environmental elements, as well as proposals for specialized segments of the market that love sports such as kitesurfing and fishing. (Magaly Zamora Morejón, ACN)
