According to Iyolexis Correa, MINTUR delegate in the province, the hotels that already earned this category include the Pullman Cayo Coco and the Playa Paraiso.

She specified that they continued the preparation with the objective that all the facilities are certified in a short term by a joint team of MINTUR and health specialists. Non-hotel services such as shopping centers and La Silla roadside bar will also be categorized.

The Pullman Cayo Coco hotel, only one of its kind in the world managed by the French chain AccorHotels that operates under the all-inclusive modality in a sun and beach destination, achieved certification after its workers and managers were subjected to rigorous examinations governed by the Hygiene and Safety Protocol to Face COVID-19, which each destination or tourism institution must adapt to its services and particularities.

Jean-Luc Grossin, general manager of the facility, praised the way in which Cuba treats the pandemic and said that this enabled the enlistment to open the doors of the hotel to the world.

Meanwhile, the Playa Paraiso is also ready to receive new guests and has conditioned the pool, gym and restaurants to comply with hygiene and social distancing protocols. (ACN)
