The 15th edition of the Ibero-American Thought Congress, which is held annually in the city of Holguin as part of the Ibero-American Culture Festival, will be held from digital platforms next October, taking into account the health provisions for prevent Covid-19.
Barbara Martinez, specialist from the Casa de Ibero-America and member of the contest's organizing committee, told ACN that this year the event will embrace the theme that governs the Festival, which is the Culture as a Factor of Resilience and exchanges will take place from various digital settings in the country.
This will be an edition of closeness to all the brother peoples and especially those who fought and fight against COVID-19, highlighting the processes associated with the most indigenous roots of the countries that make up the Ibero-American area, she noted.
From the call that will circulate on the networks, she said, it is expected that the participants to send their works digitally and in accordance with the topics addressed by the research, conferences, panels, forum discussions and special presentations by leading intellectuals and researchers.
The forums for scientific activity will be prioritized, as well as the exchange of knowledge with particular topics such as those of gender, artistic processes, socio-demographic studies and others, Martinez added.
There will also be courses and a multimedia will be socialized with possibilities of scientific publication and exchange, with participation both in the agreed topics and in alternate debates that may take place during these virtual meetings. (Por Vanessa PernĂa Arias, ACN)
